Dress to Impress Lana Doll Review: Articulation, Barbie Clothes & Roblox Code

I recently purchased the Dress to Impress Lana fashion doll, and naturally, one of the first things I wanted to know was how she compared with Barbie and other fashion dolls in my collection.

Lana is based on the popular Roblox game Dress to Impress, launched in 2023. She's known as the game's nail technician and has developed quite a storyline of her own.

The officially licensed dolls are made by PhatMojo, with the first series released in 2025.

My First Impressions of Lana

Although Lana stands approximately 11.5 inches tall, she's surprisingly tiny and petite compared with Barbie. She has a slender waist, pretty facial features, and comes dressed in a white cropped sweater, miniskirt, and matching shoes.

For quality purposes, I think adding eyelashes would have improved her appearance. She has beautiful eyes, but eyelashes would give her a more finished look.

Lana is articulated, with movable arms, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees, along with head movement. However, I found her joints surprisingly stiff, especially her knees. I actually had to apply extra pressure to bend her legs, which made posing her more difficult than I expected.

Will Lana's Clothes Fit Barbie?

This was one of my first experiments.

Although Lana and Barbie are similar in height, Lana's body is noticeably more petite. I tried her original outfit on Barbie, but it was too tight. Surprisingly, the same outfit fit another generic fashion doll in my collection.

Even among 11.5-inch fashion dolls, clothing sizes aren't always interchangeable.

My biggest surprise? Lana's shoes fit my 16-inch Tonner Tyler Wentworth fashion doll! I certainly wasn't expecting that, considering the difference in their heights.

It's another reminder that doll shoe compatibility depends more on foot shape and size than the doll's overall height.

What About the Roblox Game Code?

Lana includes an exclusive Roblox DLC (downloadable content) code. The Series 1 Lana doll is associated with a digital Dove Headpiece accessory for the Dress to Impress game.

The code comes inside the packaging and can be redeemed through the game's DLC Code menu. Each code is intended for one-time use.

For Roblox players, this is a fun bonus that connects the physical doll with the online game.

My Overall Opinion

I like Lana's petite appearance and articulated body, although I wish her joints moved more smoothly.

As with most fashion dolls, I also wish she came with a doll stand and hairbrush. Perhaps the manufacturer figured that since her hair is styled in a bun, nobody would be doing much hairstyling.

Well, I have other plans!

I intend to take down Lana's bun and see what hairstyles I can create. After all, experimenting with doll fashions and hairstyles is part of the fun of collecting them.

Overall, Lana is an interesting addition to my collection, especially for comparing clothing and shoe sizes with other fashion dolls.

I'll be sharing more of my doll comparisons, hairstyling experiments, and handmade fashions here at Ozark Fashions.
