I recently added Suki Goldpetal from the new Mirror Mi doll line to my collection—and I purchased her with sewing in mind.
Mirror Mi is a new fashion doll line from MGA Entertainment, the company behind Bratz and Rainbow High. The collection debuted in 2026 with six characters: Suki Goldpetal, Akiko Kittyama, Luna Skye, Blaze Maxx, Amora Valentina and Shai Meadows. Each doll represents a different emotion or personality, with Suki representing “Fragile.”

The Mirror Mi dolls feature 15+ points of articulation, inset glass-like eyes, rooted hair and highly detailed fantasy fashions. Suki immediately stood out to me because of her unusual blue, white and gold coloring and her delicate porcelain-inspired appearance.

Suki Goldpetal's Porcelain-Inspired Design
Suki has a beautiful blue-and-white china theme accented with gold. Her design also incorporates gold "cracks" inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese tradition of highlighting repaired pottery with gold.

Her face was one of the first things that caught my attention. I love her large inset eyes and eyelashes. They give her an almost art-doll appearance and remind me somewhat of Dollfie-style dolls, which is part of what initially attracted me to her.
She also has pierced ears, although she doesn't come with earrings.

My Favorite Part: That Hoop Skirt!
As a doll clothing designer, the feature that really got my attention was Suki's hoop skirt.
Her original dress uses a structured hoop underneath to create its dramatic shape. I love it—not only because it looks beautiful, but because it immediately gave me ideas for future Ozark fashions.
I can already imagine experimenting with fuller skirts, historical-inspired gowns and other designs that take advantage of that silhouette.
Her little shoes are adorable, too.

Suki's Hair—and Plans for New Clothes
Suki has long blue hair styled up with a decorative barrette. I removed the barrette, but for now I'm planning to leave her original hairstyle up.
After all, I didn't buy Suki just to leave her in her original outfit.
I bought her because I want to sew for her.
Her unusual coloring was what initially inspired me, and after unboxing her, I'm even more excited about designing clothing specifically for the Mirror Mi body.
Suki is different from many of the fashion dolls I've sewn for over the years, and that's part of the fun. I'll be experimenting with patterns, fit and different styles to see what works best on her.
So this won't be the last time Suki Goldpetal appears on OzarkFashions.
Next comes the fun part—making her something new to wear.
